Meat sticks

The first time I ate this dish in Croatia. I think your kid will like these meat sticks a lot. 

Meat sticks

Ingredients:

  • 500 gram minced beef;
  • 1 small onion, cut into small cubes;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley of cilantro;
  • 2 tbsp hot water;
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

 Preparation:

Put the meat in a bowl. Add chopped onion and parsley. Crush two cloves of garlic and add to the rest ingredients. Pour the water and add baking soda. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

 Make 2 in long sticks from the meat and place them on a sheet of parchment paper or aluminum foil.

  Pour some oil into a preheated pan. Fry the meat sticks till they are browned on each side.

Serve the dish with ketchup and potatoes or acorn squash. Parents can have meat sticks with Greek yogurt.
