Basmati rice is my favorite. It is a long grain rice with characteristic aroma. Its grains are longer and thinner than of the other varieties of rice.
Rice with green cardamom
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Basmati rice;
- 2 cups water;
- 5 green cardamom pods;
- salt.
Preparation:
Put the rice in a small frying pan. Rinse the rice with tap water, then add 2 cups of water and 5 green cardamom pods, salt. Cook the rice for about 10 to 12 minutes.
If you want to make a cone of rice on your plate, fill a small coffee cup with cooked rice and compact the rice with a spoon. Flip over the coffee cup on the plate, the rice will come out in a nice shape.
