About Me

I am a wife and a mother of two children. I spend most of my time at home raising the kids and taking care of the household.

One of my kids is allergic to dairy and eggs. Initially this looked very bad, because most common dishes contain dairy, so I was sad I couldn’t make all the food we liked so much anymore. Fortunately I like experimenting with cuisine, so I started looking for and devising recipes for food the whole family can eat without getting bored of eating the same dishes over and over again.

I decided to create this blog and share my culinary results with others, esp. those who also have children with similar allergies. Some recipes have easy modifications for people who can have milk, cream, etc., so they can also enjoy them the way they like.

Whenever I have a little free time, I do other things I like, such as sewing. I am sharing them on this blog as well.

Despite the catchy name of this blog, I do not consider myself perfect in any particular field. Although I think everybody is perfect in their own way.

  1. Thank you for liking my post. I was pleased to see there is an “English Version” on your blog. LOVE it!! Very nice blog. I will follow… Have a wonderful day. πŸ™‚

  2. Love your last statement. I’m going to share your blog with a close friend whose first grader has the same allergies as your little one–glad to have found you!

  3. Thanks for Liking my post, “A Really Clean House; Allergens on the Line” I have family members who are allergic to all sorts of things, including one grandson who is allergic to, well, everything. His mom, like you, has learned how to fix food for him and he is doing well. Good for you for creating a blog like this.

  4. Hi Margaret – I really like your recipes section. The raisin cookies look great! Do you have any idea how many calories these are? What kinds of ingredients could you substitute if you wanted to reduce the amount of calories?

    Thanks a lot.

  5. Great idea for a blog. I know so many people allergic to dairy and eggs – am convinced it makes cooking more fun and good reason to try new things πŸ™‚

  6. Thank you for liking my blog…I too am a stay at home mom, who cooks, sews, and crafts. I have 20 kids and we are down to our last for at home…keep a sense of humor and keep making time for your spouse and things you enjoy.

  7. I so get the allergies thing! My second son is allergic to gmo corn, gluten and casein, but I keep telling him that I’m glad he has the allergies because if he didn’t, we wouldn’t have started eating so healthy! It kills our budget – but it makes him so much nicer. πŸ˜‰
